Edward Henry Bundick was born October 30, 1922 in Westboro, to Raymond and Apprilla and passed away February 18, 2010 in Tacoma, Wash.

He grew up in Westboro and enlisted in the Army in 1943, moving through the enlisted, warrant and commissioned officer ranks before retiring in 1967 as a Major in the Finance Corps. His eyes saw much of Europe fighting with the infantry in World War II, then Japan as part of the occupation force after World War II, where he transitioned from infantry to finance, and Korea during the Korean War. After retirement from active duty, Edward worked civil service for the army, retiring for the second time in 1984 as Deputy Director of Quality for the Army's Finance Center in Indianapolis, Ind.

Edward was a member of Lake City Community Church for over 35 years and served terms as Elder and Treasurer. He enjoyed square dancing, bowling, fishing, traveling with his family and meeting new people. He participated in various league sports during his life, including basketball, softball, volleyball and bowling.

Edward is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie Mae (Bredesen of Greenwood), who cared for him lovingly; his son, Leo Edward (Wendi) and grandchildren, Katie, Edward Henry II, Joseph Leo and Emily Nicole; his sisters, June Spieles of Westboro, Elnora Ripley of Medford and Mary Jean (Lawrence) Salzman of Medford; plus many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Carroll; his brothers, Raymond, William, Vernon and Orie; and his sister, Edith.

Viewing will be at noon, Friday, Feb. 26, followed by interment at 1:00, both at New Tacoma Cemeteries and Funeral Home in University Place. The memorial service will be held at 3:00 that day at Lake City Community Church in Lakewood.
