Roberta Ann Williams, 70, Jump River, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

 

She was born on March 1, 1940 in Stanley, Wis., the daughter of the late Clayton and Georgia "Joyce" (Nuernberg) Peterson.

 

The family lived in Stanley a short time and later moved to the Donald area where they farmed for many years.


Roberta had many jobs over the years, often having several at any one time. Among those were a logger, as a CAN for the VNA, a cook, a store clerk and also working at Norco Windows. She did many of these while raising her five children.


Roberta was fond of gardening, flowers, the outdoors, painting/drawings, and later Sudoku. Most especially she loved her family greatly.


She is survived by her five children, Hugh (Pat) Williams of Cheyenne, Wyo., Dave (Roxie) Williams and Danny Williams, both of Jump River, LeRoy (Rhonda) Williams of Fort Collins, Colo., and Karen (Chuck) Sedlachek of Green Bay; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Robert (Kim) Peterson of Tennessee, Pat Beinlich of San Diego, Calif., Millicent (Rick) Moore of Anaheim, Calif., Ginger Vellorys of Belvidere, Ill., Charlie (Mary Ellen) Peterson of Barrington, Ill., and Donna Hyser of Poplar Grove, Ill.

 

Roberta is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh; her parents; a granddaughter, Heather Williams; a brother, Clayton Jr.; and a sister, Doreen Cybullski.


Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Gilman Funeral Home. Rev. Craig Lindgren officiated. Interment will take place at Mt. Nebo Cemetery at a later date.
