Leon E. Werner, 82, Medford, died Monday, Jan. 14 surrounded by his family at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past day.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 19 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford, with Rev. Paul Steinberg officiating. Interment will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II with graveside military rites performed by the Medford Military Honors Team. Pallbearers are Troy, Todd and Trent Gengler, Tasha, Jeff and Jerry Werner, Paul Michler and George Loock.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
