Rodney E. Bergmann, 57, Medford, was pronounced dead on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he had been a patient the past two days, following a tractor accident.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Goodrich, with Rev. Joseph Dietrich officiating. Inurnment will take place at St. Andrew Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Goodrich.

Active pallbearers are Steve and Gregg Lugo, James Duerr, Anthony Eckert, Joe Wolf and Whitney Rinehart. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Bergmann, Craig Henrichs, Leon Marthaler and Jeff and Todd Handel.


Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, and at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

EDUCATION: Washington elementary school, township of Goodrich and was a 1971 graduate of Medford High School

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: May 12, 1973 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens to Marlene Weigand and she survives

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After his education he farmed on the family farm in the town of Goodrich for his whole life. During the winter months he did some woods work for a period of time. He also operated a custom combining business for a period of time. He enjoyed hunting, softball, pool & dart leagues.

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Marlene Bergmann of the town of Goodrich

SURVIVING CHILDREN: 2 daughters - Connie Jean Bergmann of Chicago & Debbie April Bergmann of the town of Goodrich

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: Deanna (Arnold) Handel of Milwaukee, Galen (Bonnie) Bergmann of the town of Goodrich & Randy Bergmann of New Jersey

DECEASED BROTHERS/SISTERS: Brother-Larry Bergmann

SURVIVING PARENTS: Mother-in-law: Audrey Weigand of Athens
