Edward "Big Zorro," "Big Ed" William Thums, 75, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake, under the care of Hope Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, March 24 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, with Father Bernie Byrne officiating. Interment with full military honors conducted by Premeau-Schauss VFW Post No. 7817 of Westboro was held at St. Ann's Cemetery in the Town of Greenwood. Pallbearers were Ardin Wiitala, Don Berger, Rocky Jones, Robert Thums, Ron Smugala, Duane Scott and Frank Hamm.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
