Ruby I. Johnson-Michal, 90, Medford, died Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Memorial Nursing Home in Medford, where she had resided the past 1-1/2 years.

 

At her request, no services will be held. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Ill.


The former Ruby Lorentson was born July 15, 1919 in Hastings, N.D., to the late Louis and Lilly (Anderson) Lorentson. She attended Chicago, Ill., area schools.


She married Harold Johnson, who preceded her in death.

 

She married LeRoy Michal, who also preceded her in death.

 

She worked at Knowles Electronics in Franklin Park, Ill., where she made hearing aides for 10 years. They moved to the Medford area in 1985.


Survivors include three children, Ronald Brishke of Arizona, Diane (Jake) Thielke of Medford and Bill (Kathy) Hague of Georgia; two sisters; three grandsons, Tom Schimon and Jim (Kim) Schimon, both of Medford, and John Schimon of Shakopee, Minn.; and two great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother.
