Myrtle Ruth Tripp, 82, Rib Lake, died Monday, Dec. 28 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Dec. 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher and Deacon Mark Priniski officiating.

 

Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in the Town of Spirit. Pallbearers will be Jeff Heiser, Jamie Heiser, Sheldon Rabhel, Eugene Kukla, John Heiser and Richard Olson.

 

The former Myrtle Olson was born March 18, 1927 in Chelsea to the late Bernard and Hilda (Meyer) Olson. She attended Chelsea Graded School. She was employed at the Bigelow Company in Minneapolis, Minn., during World War II, then moved back to the area. On June 22, 1946 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rib Lake, she married Robert "Bob" Lavern Tripp, who survives. She was employed at Rib Lake Nursing Home and Magnuson Mink Ranch.

 

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Spirit American Legion Post No. 452 Auxiliary, Christian Mothers, Catholic Order of Foresters St. John's Court No. 823, and various card clubs in the Town of Spirit. She enjoyed gardening, canning, dancing and cooking.

 

In addition to her husband, survivors include three children, Patricia (John) Heiser of the Town of Rib Lake, Kathleen (Eugene) Kukla of Oconomowoc and Kris Degenhardt of Franklin; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Tripp of Marshfield; a brother, Norman (Lucille) of Shiocton; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Olson and Margaret Olson, both of Rib Lake; a sister, Marian (Sylvester) Stiel of Wausau; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

 

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.

 

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
