----Schilling, Marjorie M. (February 21, 1928 - November 20, 2009)
 
Former Medford resident Marjorie "Margie" M. Schilling, 81, Altoona, died
Friday, Nov. 20 at Country Terrace in Altoona, where she had resided the
past three years.
 
Private family services were held Monday, Nov. 23 at Hemer Funeral Home in
Medford, with Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Burial was at Holy Rosary
Catholic Cemetery in Medford. Pallbearers were Pat, Howard, Ruth and Russell
Schilling and Louise and Larry Gengler.
 
Marjorie Schilling was born February 21, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minn., to the
late Adolph and Frieda (Losse) Schilling. She attended Buddy School in the
Town of Greenwood and Rib Lake High School. After her education, she lived
and worked in Minneapolis, then lived in Menomonie for many years where she
worked as a cook at the University of Wisconsin-Stout for between 25 and 30
years until her retirement in 1993.


She enjoyed reading and farm animals.
 
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Howard (Pat) Schilling and Russell (Ruth) Schilling, both of Medford, and Louise (Larry) Gengler of Stetsonville; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Schilling of Medford.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother William
"Bill" in 2006.
