Joyce L. Nelson, 80, Medford, was pronounced dead on Friday, Dec. 10 at her home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with Rev. James Krueger officiating.

Burial was at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Pallbearers were Bruce Albers, Randy Kremsreiter, Bob Kalmon and Cody Thomsen.

PLACE OF BURIAL: Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

VISITATION AT: Hemer Funeral Home 11:00 AM until time of funeral services at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: March 23, 1930 at Medford.

EDUCATION: Medford area schools, graduate of Medford High School, attended secretarial school in Minneapolis.

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: At Medford to George Nelson and they were later divorced.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After her education she worked as a secretary for Louis Charles, Atty. office for a period of time. Then she worked as a receptionist at the Harvey Co. in Medford until it was sold to Weather Shield Mfg. in Medford. She then worked many years there as the head receptionist until her retirement. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, cross country skiing, her grandchildren, her children’s activities, and in her earlier years, she enjoyed the cottage in northern WI.

MEMBER OF: Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Medford; Past member of the Medford Curling Club & Tee-Hi Golf Club of Medford.

SURVIVING CHILDREN: 2 sons-Guy (Patti) Nelson of Medford & Jay (Rose) Nelson of Estero, FL: Daughter-Sandy (Randy) Kremsreiter of Athens.

CHILDREN DECEASED: Son - Mark Nelson in 1969.

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: 2 sisters - Janet Doriot of Medford & Judy Luebeck of New London, WI.

DECEASED FATHER: Albion Cherney DECEASED MOTHER: Mildred Graff.
