----Dehne, Henry E. (November 16, 1928 - September 20, 2009)  

 

Henry "Hank" E. Dehne, 80, Owen, died Sunday, Sept. 20 at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.  

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremainal inurnment will take place at a later date at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. 

 

Henry Dehne was born November 16, 1928 in the Town of Little Black to the late Henry William and Lovelda Sophronia (Boone) Dehne.  

 

He attended Town of Little Black elementary schools. 

 

He married Ruth Madison in Medford, and they were later divorced.  

 

He farmed in the Town of Little Black, then moved to Woodruff where he worked as a logger, and then to Chicago, Ill., where he worked at the family roofing company until his retirement. He returned to Medford in 2007 and entered the health care center one year ago.  He enjoyed gardening, his dogs and birds. 

 

Survivors include eight children, Joan (Tom) Milby of Tomahawk, Henry, Donnie (Mauriam) and Gary, all of Chicago, Debbie (Duane) Larson and Jan Dehne, both of Medford, Dianne (Daniel) Knorn of Oklahoma, and Dawn (Ron) Schmocker of East Troy; a brother in Chicago; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Young in 1995; seven children in infancy; one grandchild; and one brother.  

 

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.
