Ronald M. Hoskins, 74, Town of Browning, died Tuesday, August 25 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hope Hospice.
Funeral services are Friday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford with Pastor David Clements officiating. Visitation begins at 4 p.m.
Ronald Hoskins was born September 27, 1934 at Milwaukee to the late Peter and Mabel (Collins) Hoskins.
He attended Gad elementary schools and was a graduate of Medford High School. He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959.
His marriage to Darlene Bishop took place in 1972. They were later divorced.
For the past 20 years he has had a relationship with a special friend, Diana Duesing Anderson of Medford.
After the service, he worked road construction and various other jobs in the Milwaukee area. He returned to the Medford area where he worked various jobs including owning a tavern in the Town of Browning, working for Streckert Mfg. and Wick Homes until retirement. For many years he worked as a caretaker for his parents. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, tinkering with cars and trucks, and long rides along the Mississippi River. He was a member of various area hunting clubs and played on various local baseball league teams.
Survivors include special friend, Diana Anderson of Medford; two daughters, Michelle Rottier of Pulaski and Hiedi (Jeremy) Van Camp of De Pere; two stepsons, Eric (Michelle) Anderson and Cory Anderson, both of Medford; grandchildren, Hayley, Montana, Hunter and David Jr. Ahlswede, Weston Hoskins and Jordon Van Camp; Step-grandchildren, Bryce, Isaac, Mason and Domineck Anderson; a sister, Charmaine McCurdy of Milwaukee; a stepbrother, Loren (Leona) Albrecht of Gad and two stepsisters, Loretta Vogt of Colorado and Irene Krogstad of Milwaukee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Art Albrecht and best friend, Marvin Dassow.
