Former Medford resident Rudy L. Downing, 78, died Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 14 at Krause Funeral Home in Milwaukee. Burial was at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee.
Rudy Downing was born March 25, 1931 in Ontario to the late Burt and Olive Downing.
He served in the United States Army.
In 1957 in Medford, he married Arlene Lord, who survives. He worked for 25 years for Beaudoin, retiring in 1973.
He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Danielle, spending weekends at the cabin, fishing, gambling and tinkering with used lawn mowers.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Duane and Jeffrey, both of Milwaukee; three sisters, Thema Neubauer and Abbie (Wayne) Paur, both of Medford, and Dema Pundsack of Fairdealing, Mo.; and one granddaughter, Danielle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
