Margaret "Marge" M. Tallman, 78, Medford, died Thursday, April 15 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn., where she was transported earlier by helicopter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 20 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger officiating. Burial was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Random Lake.

Pallbearers were Ray Jr. and Corey Tallman, Dave Kenyon, Pete Kostner, Bob Lucia, Rufus Sween and Jim Vanduser.

The former Margaret Klotz was born April 5, 1932 in Random Lake to the late Edward and Mary (Weller) Klotz. She attended Milwaukee area schools.

On August 14, 1976 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford, she married Ray A. Tallman, who survives.

They moved to the Medford area in 1969. She worked as an aide at Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center in Medford for six years, then worked at Copps grocery store in Medford in the bakery department for six years until retirement.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and past member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Milwaukee. She enjoyed fishing, bird watching, board games, playing cards and dogs.

In addition to her husband, survivors include eight children, Cathy Hilgart of Minnesota, Deborah (Kim) Pero of Montello, Robert Maier Jr. and Guy Tallman, both of Medford, Joseph Maier of California, Ray Tallman Jr. of Stanley, Cheryl (Douglas) Baker of Withee and Corey (Leigh) Tallman of Chippewa Falls; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John E. Maier on May 25, 2002; and two brothers, Wallace and Edward.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.
