----Mikulencak, Anton "Tony" (February 8, 1914 - May 20, 2009)

Anton "Tony" Mikulencak, 95, Town of Goodrich, died Wednesday, May 20 at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Merrill, while under hospice care.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23 at Goodrich Community Church, with Pastor David Elleman officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Medford. Pallbearers were Charlie Paulson, Joel Paulson, Michael Paulson, Mark Bartman, Sara Paulson, Ruth Bartman, Alexandra Skeeter, D'Andras Skeeter and Drew Skeeter.

Anton Mikulencak was born February 8, 1914 in Cudahy, to the late Thomas and Mary (Fiala) Mikulencak. The family moved to Goodrich where he attended Goodrich Graded School.

On February 6, 1943 at Emmanuel Bohemian Baptist Church in Chicago, Ill., he married Helene Boubelik, who preceded him in death on March 26, 2008. They lived in the Town of Goodrich where he owned and operated a dairy farm for over 50 years.

He was a member of Goodrich Community Church where he served as a Deacon and treasurer; the Gideon's; the Republican Party; the Taylor County Tree Farmer Association and received the Taylor County Tree Farmer of the Year award; and the general board of the Czechoslovak Baptist Convention. He also served at the assessor for the Town of Goodrich and on the Goodrich School Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, visiting with family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include five daughters, Ruth (Ollie) Whitlow and Rachel (Joel) Paulson, both of Goodrich, Rosemary Mikulencak of San Jose, Calif., Ruby Mikulencak of Ghana, Africa, and Rebecca Skeeter of Milwaukee; a brother, John Mikul of Wausau; two sisters, Mary Buch of Wausau and Rose Mikul of Goodrich; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Skeeter; two brothers; and one sister.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be given to Goodrich Community Church.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
