MEDFORD -- Nyle G. Oldenberg, 91, of Medford died Monday, May 18, 2009, at Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center, Medford.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, where there will be a 6:30 p.m. prayer service; and again Thursday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Nyle was born Oct. 28, 1917, at Unity, the son of George and Mary (Wonsor) Oldenberg. He was united in marriage Sept. 17, 1946, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville to Estelle M. Berger.

Following their marriage, the couple took over the family farm in the town of Deer Creek until Nyle's retirement in 1981.

He is survived by his wife, Estelle Oldenberg of Medford; his children, Duane D. Oldenberg of the town of Deer Creek, Randy R. (Audrey) Oldenberg of Mosinee, Bruce A. (Beverly) Oldenberg of Plover and Dale D. Oldenberg of the town of Deer Creek; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Georgia Katzenberger of Conrad, Mont.
