(17 Oct. 1920 - 4 Oct. 1996) MEDFORD - Sophia O. Schmeiser, 75, Medford, died Oct. 4, 1996, at her home. Services were at 11 a.m. today St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Burial was in Perkinstown Community Cemetery in Perkinstown. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford and again from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church. She was born Oct. 17, 1920, in Perkinstown. She worked at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County in the laundry department. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Kovatch of Owen and Carla (Joe) Bauer of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sons, James (Carole) Schmeiser and Al (Judy) Schmeiser, all of Janesville; and Gordon (Shirley) Schmeiser of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Charlotte Van Hecker of Kendall. |
