Funeral services were held Monday, May 4 at the Jump River Community Hall. Burial was at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Gilman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. --------------------------------- ----Source: The Ladysmith News, (Ladysmith, Rusk Co., WI), Wednesday, May 8, 2009, Online Edition Pearl Stoker, 71, of Ladysmith and formerly of Jump River, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. Pearl was born on Jan. 12, 1938, in Sheldon to Norman and Elsie (Hanson) Abbiehl. She grew up in the Sheldon and Jump River area, and attended area schools. She lived in Milwaukee and West Allis, where she worked at Design Products for a number of years. She then moved back to the Sheldon area for a short time before moving to St. Paul, where she lived for six-plus years. She then moved to Ladysmith, where she worked at Cenex until her retirement. Besides her great love for her grandchildren, she so enjoyed reading, music and playing the guitar. She is preceded in death by her parents Norman and Elsie Abbiehl; her brother Jack (1966); her sister Joanne Nelson (1974); and her nephew Douglas Nelson (1977). She is survived by her two sons Erik (Tammy) of Grand Forks, N.D. and Jeff of Glen Flora; her grandchildren Ben, Adam and Stephanie; and her two brothers Norman (Carolyn) Abbiehl of Germantown and James (Jean) Abbiehl of New Berlin. A funeral service was held Monday, May 4, at the Jump River Community Hall. Burial followed at the Mt. Nebo Cemetery. The Gilman Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
