----Youngquist, Harry (May 2, 1930 - April 23, 2009)

Harry Youngquist, age 93, of Holland, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Lutheran Village Community surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 7, 1916 in Westboro to Olaf and Ida (Lindgren) Ljungquist.

He graduated from Westboro High School and earned a degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Harry married Frances (Pfauser) Youngquist on January 8, 1942.

He was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy during World War II, and served as a research engineer. Harry was a mechanical engineer for Owens Corning. He was a very active member and elder at First Presbyterian Church, Maumee.

Harry enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors and reading, but most importantly spending time with his family. He often led many activities at Lutheran Village. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Harry will be missed by all who knew him.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Frances; son, Bob (Millie) Youngquist; daughter, Sandy Siebeneck; granddaughters, Heather and Holly Youngquist and Jennifer Siebeneck; sister, Carol Kobielush; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his siblings, Wally, Erik, Hilda and Ellen.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 17 at First Presbyterian Church. Interment was at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery in Sylvania, Ohio.

Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home of Maumee assisted the family with arrangements.
