Surnames: Coulliard, Johnson, Miller, Schmitz, Shaw ----Source: The Star News (Medford, Taylor Co., WI), Thursday, April 23, 2009, Online Edition ----Miller, Russell Allen (May 14, 1954 - April 16, 2009) Russell Allen Miller, 54, of Sheldon, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born on May 14, 1954 in Stanley, the son of the late James L. and Rita (Coulliard) Miller. Russ grew up in the area and worked for many area farms. He worked many years for the Brooks family in Jump River. Russ loved driving tractors and went to many tractor pulls and the Steam Engine Days. Russ was a member of the Jump River Lions Club and the Volunteer Fire Department. Russ is survived by his daughter, Hope of Medford; five brothers, James (Karen) Miller, Bill (Antoinette) Miller, Chris (Kathleen) Miller and Paul (Diane) Miller, all of Sheldon, and Bob (Deb) Miller of Medford; two sisters, Patty (Mike Schmitz) Miller of Duluth, Minn. and Ruth (Jim) Shaw of Sheldon; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m. at the Sheldon Community Center. Rev. Barry Johnson will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday. The Plombon Funeral Home, Gilman, assisted the family.
