Thursday, 2 Apr. 2009 ----Meyer, Walther William (24 May 1922 - 30 Mar. 2009) MEDFORD -- Dr. Walther "Walt" William Meyer, 86, of Medford died Monday, March 30 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 3 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Medford Evergreen Cemetery. He was born May 24, 1922, in Medford to George F. and Irma M. (Walther) Meyer. He married Dolores "Dee" A. Haering on Nov. 25, 1948, in Milwaukee. He retired from his clinical practice in Medford in June 1998. Survivors include his wife, Dee, of Medford; children Kristin Meyer of Donnelly, Idaho, Walther "Wally" (Laurie) Meyer Jr. of Westboro, George F. Meyer II of Minneapolis, and Ann (Paul) Egge of Wisconsin Rapids; a brother, William E. Meyer of La Crosse; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. |
