(28 June 1944 – 27 Mar. 2009) David A. Spanbauer, 64, of Medford died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford. Deacon Joseph Stefancin will officiate and burial will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home. Spanbauer was born June 28, 1944, in Medford to Joseph and Theodora (Boettcher) Spanbauer. He married July Schug on June 17, 1967, and they later divorced. Most recently, Spanbauer worked at Abbyland Foods in Abbotsford until retirement. He is survived by his son Ryan (Sara Scoles) Spanbauer of Medford, two grandchildren and siblings Robert (Ardis) Spanbauer of Antigo, Ronald (Geri) Spanbauer of Stetsonville, Marion Boll of Neillsville, Joanne (Lawrence) Bartnik of Colby and Jeanette (Dennis) Seidel of Colby.
