----Haskins, Roger Allen (21 July 1931 – 30 July 2005)

Roger Allen Haskins, 74, Prentice, died in the St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield on Saturday, July 30, 2005. He was born in Stetsonville, on July 21, 1931, the son of Lee and Helen (Zastrow) Haskins. He moved to Pennington with his family in 1936. He was married to Audrey Erickson in Hawkins, on November 25, 1950.

He worked as a cheese maker at a number of Wisconsin creameries, finally at the Knox Mills Cheese Factory. He was then employed by Omark Industries in Prentice, and Prentice Hardware until the time of his retirement in 1986. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and restoring older vehicles.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; three children: Shirley May Haskins, Prentice, Sandra Kay (David) Henthorn, Ogema, and Randy Carl (Angelika), Virginia, Minn.; two granddaughters; two great- grandchildren; four brothers: Norman (Sue), of Ingram, Don, of Prentice, Roy (Linda), of Phillips, and Gene (Joyce), of Ogema; four sisters: Lorraine (Russ) Sarkinen, Elaine Paffendorf, and Doris (Eugene) Hall, all of Prentice, and Carol Anderson, Eau Claire. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Howard.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice with Rev. Matthew Lee of the First Lutheran Church of Prentice officiating. Inurnment will be in the Prentice Cemetery in Prentice.

The Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice is assisting the family with arrangements.
