Robert "Wally" J. Walsdorf, 49, Lublin, formerly of St. Anna, died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 8, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was born August 8, 1960 in Sheboygan, son of Dr. James and Ruth (Bradley) Walsdorf.
He attended St. Ann Grade School and was a 1979 graduate of New Holstein High School.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a long distance truck driver for Badger State Western Inc. in Abbotsford.
He was a member of the Lublin American Legion No. 547, OIDA and Lublin Bean Bag League. Robert was an avid sports fan, enjoying golfing at Hickory Hills Golf Club, Chilton, bowling a perfect 300 game and playing pool. He also was an avid Packer fan. More than anything, he enjoyed "grilling out" for his children and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his four children with former spouse Patricia (Levorson), Jessica Raye Walsdorf, Oakfield, William Walsdorf, Biyatta Walsdorf and Hannah Walsdorf, all of Reedsville; and his parents, Dr. James and Ruth Walsdorf, New Holstein. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary Jo Walsdorf, Sheboygan Falls, and her children, Briana and Macklin Nesst, Michael (Cheryl) Walsdorf, Kiel, and their children, Amanda (Mike) Muellenbach and Logan, Ashley (Richard) Koslowski, Jessica Walsdorf, Peter Walsdorf, and sisters, Patti Walsdorf, Saukville, Debbie Walsdorf, Sheboygan Falls; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents, Dr. I.A. and Johanna Walsdorf and G.D. and Mary Bradley.
The funeral Mass for Robert was celebrated Friday, Feb. 12 at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna, with Rev. Harold Berryman officiating. Burial took place in the church cemetery. A memorial has been established in his name.
Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 Sixth St., Kiel, assisted the family.
