Myron "Mike" R. Luick, 82, Oregon, died Tuesday, Feb. 16 at HospiceCare Center in Fitchberg.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Feb. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Maple Tree Restaurant in McFarland.
Myron Luick was born June 30, 1927 in Stetsonville to the late Otto and Emma (Kuzenski) Luick.
On November 7, 1953, he married Betty Nelson, who survives. They farmed on the family farm in Stetsonville. He served in the United States Army during World War II and later with the National Guard.
In addition to his wife, survivors include, two daughters, Debbie Goettsch and Kathy (Steve Cook) Luick, both of Oregon; two brothers, Leon (Jo) of King and Don (Marlene) of Rhinelander; a sister, Doris Jende of Milwaukee; three sisters-in-law, Marjorie Purgett of Brookfield, Doris Savage of Nekoosa and Barbara Hasseldick of Stetsonville; a brother-in-law, Don (Shirley) Nelson of Abbotsford; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Dorothy Nelson; a son-in-law, Dave Goettsch; a sister-in-law, Melva Hansen; and five brothers-in-law, Jerry Jende, Mahlon Purgett, Mike Savage, Wayne Hasseldick and Melvin Hansen.
Memorials in his name may be made to HospiceCare of Madison.
Gunderson Oregon Funeral and Cremation Centers assisted the family with arrangements.
