Frank S. Malinowski Sr., 67, Sheldon, died Monday, Nov. 8 at his home.

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 12 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith, with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating. Burial was at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River.


Frank Malinowski was born on October 21, 1943 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Louis and Rose (Lauer) Malinowski.


On March, 9, 1968 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp, he married Henny P. Meinhardt, who preceded him in death on February 7, 2005.

He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Manheim, Germany, where he met his wife Henny. They lived in Stanley, Thorp, Lublin and Sheldon. He was employed at Presto for seven years and then did what he knew and loved best, and that was farming. His passion was farming. He was a very hardworking and loving man with a huge, warm heart.


He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and photography, and was a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society.


Survivors include two sons, Donald L. of Sheldon and Frank Jr. of Hannibal; three daughters, Susan (Mike) Cynor of Sheldon, Rose (Mark) Johnson of Eau Claire and Charmaine (Rusty) Taber of Ladysmith; a brother, Donald (Kathy) of Thorp; and 15 grandchildren.


In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
