Lillian E. Grlicky, age 91, of Merrill, died Thursday, August 19, 2010, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.


Lillian was born January 3, 1919 in Medford, daughter of the late Otto and Stella (Ziemer) Schoenfeldt.

She married George Fiebke in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1952, in Medford.

She then married Andrew "Andy" Grlicky on February 27, 1960 in Sheryl, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2009. Lillian had been the bookkeeper for B&D Motors of Merrill. She enjoyed casino trips, playing cards, reading and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Lillian is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Dennis) Brandner, Merrill; one son, Gerald (special friend Judith Reich) Fiebke, Merrill; five grandchildren, Barbara (Jeff) Lamb, Amy (Dean) Campbell, Julie (Andrew) Zuelsdorff, Kay (Brian) Pomrening and Kim Fiebke; and six great-grandchildren, Adam and Mitchell Lamb, Nicole and Taylor Zuelsdorff and Eve and Hannah Campbell.

Lillian is preceded in death by twin infant daughters, Roberta Ann and Barbara Jean Fiebke; and also by three sisters, Clarabelle Halopka, Delores Mushel and Genevieve Francois.


The funeral was held Monday, August 23 at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. David Szeto officiated. Burial was at Medford Evergreen Cemetery.
