----Source: 1881 History of Northern WI, page 1029. Biographical Sketch of A. J. Perkins. A. J. PERKINS, real estate dealer, Medford, was born in Windsor Co., Vermont, Dec. 27, 1830; he came to Wisconsin in 1853, stopping in Jefferson Co., where he taught school; later he worked as carpenter and joiner; he was at one time foreman of the Wisconsin Manufacturing Company; in 1874. he was elected County Clerk; was re-elected in 187';; moved to Medford in 1878; he owns a farm of eighty acres, having cleared forty; he has a grocery which is managed by his only son, Frank M. In 1859 he was married to Miss Charlotte M. Winterling, of Germany; he belongs to the I. O.O. F. and the Masons. |
