----Hessefort, James “Jim” G. (September 17, 1952 - February 28, 2009)

James "Jim" G. Hessefort, 56, Medford, died Saturday, Feb. 28 at his in-law's home in the Town of Goodrich.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 4 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Burial was at Molitor Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Molitor. Pallbearers were Jeff and Brad Schimon, Don, Bob and Mark Hessefort and Linda Jones.

James Hessefort was born September 17, 1952 in Medford to the late Edmund L. and Margaret Mary (Larson) Hessefort. He attended Pine Tree Elementary School in the Town of Molitor and was a graduate of Medford High School.

On July 7, 2007 in Maui, Hawaii he married Mary Rae Schimon, who survives. After his education, he owned and operated Hessefort Logging and also did farm work in the Medford area. He most recently worked at Kraft Pizza Corp in Medford and at Ken Holmes mink ranch until ill health forced his retirement.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoyed football, gardening, Nascar, woodworking and the outdoors.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three brothers, Don (Jan) and Robert, both of the Town of Molitor, and Mark (Robin) of Waunakee; a sister, Linda (significant other Miles County) Jones of Black Forest, Colo.; mother and father-in-law, Ray and Fran Schimon of the Town of Goodrich; a sister-in-law, Mary Hessefort of Oshkosh; two brothers-in-law, Brad (Marie) Schimon and Jeff (significant other Patty Smith) Schimon, both of the Town of Goodrich; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lee in 1992.
