Surname: Bliss, Dalnodar, Esthimer, Jacobs, Kramer, Leitermann, Smith, Vanden Langenberger ----Source: The Star News (Medford, Taylor Co., WI), Thursday, February 26, 2009, Online Edition ----Kramer, Wilfred “Bill” (May 9, 1930 - February 18, 2009) Wilfred "Bill" Kramer, 78, 164 Ethel St., Wausau, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born May 9, 1930 in Medford to the late Jacob and Martha (Jacobs) Kramer. He married Elaine Smith June 24, 1950 in Medford. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2000. Bill and Elaine built, owned and operated the Kramer Motel in Medford until 1962 when they moved to Wausau. He was a salesman for Wausau Furniture and later managed the Budgetel Inn in Wausau. In retirement he cared for his wife Elaine. He played in the German Band and Wausau City Band for many years. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons, William (Mary Esthimer) Kramer and Michael Kramer, both of Wausau; three daughters, Susan (Jack) Bliss of Wausau, Debra (Jim) Leitermann of Schofield and Diane (Michael) Dalnodar of Stevens Point; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his English springer spaniel, Tipper. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Jack Kramer. Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 22 at Brainard Funeral Home of Wausau, with Rev. Tim Vanden Langenberger officiating. Entombment was at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wausau. Online condolences may be given at www.brainardfuneral.com. |
