----Dohm, Irene (Dix) (April 16, 1918 - February 3, 2009)

Irene Dohm, 90, Phillips, died Tuesday, Feb. 3 in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips, while under hospice care.

A memorial mass will be held Friday, Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips, with Father Gerald Hagen officiating. Inurnment will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

The former Irene Dix was born April 16, 1918 in the Town of Rock near Marshfield, to the late Edwin and Josephine Dix. She attended school in the Town of Richfield.

On September 24, 1937 in Milwaukee, she married Laverne W. Dohm, who survives. They operated the Coast to Coast Hardware Store in Stoughton.

She was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Beverly (Neal) Melvin of Bonita Springs, Fla. and Patricia (Jerome) Vogt of Faribault, Minn.; a brother, Raymond (Dody) of Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Eva Murphy of Sarasota, Fla. and Jeanne (Charles) Velander of Brooklyn Center, Minn.; a brother-in-law, Paul Brey of Marshfield; a sister-in-law, Bertha Dix of Las Lunas, N.M.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Brey; and two brothers, Aaron and Everet.

Heindl Funeral Home of Phillips assisted the family with arrangements.
