----McCluskey, Robert Henry “Bob” (October 6, 1930 - January 12, 2009)

Robert "Bob" Henry McCluskey, 78, Town of Greenwood, died Monday, Jan. 12 at his log cabin that was the family homestead in the Town of Greenwood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in the Town of Whittlesey, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating, and full military honors following the service.

Interment will be at St. Ann's Cemetery in the Town of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Brad Klemm, Kevin Klemm, Eddie Smola, Keith McCluskey, Bruce Gebauer and Harold Fliehs.

Robert McCluskey was born October 6, 1930 on the McCluskey family homestead in the Town of Greenwood to the late James and Christina (Schabel) McCluskey.

He attended country grade schools and was a 1948 graduate of Rib Lake High School.

He married Sheila Kromholtz in Milwaukee, and they later divorced.

He served in the United States Navy for two years, then worked in Milwaukee before moving to Wausau and working for JI Case for 27 years, retiring in 1990.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping and traveling, having visited Ireland last July.

Survivors include five children, Jeff (Sharon) Wenrick of Piqua, Ohio, Tim (Lori) McCluskey of Wausau, Kevin McCluskey of Carlsbad, Calif., Greg (Sue) McCluskey of Rochester, Minn., and Wendy (Kevin) Kelch of Hatley; two brothers, Ray (Joanne) of Grafton and Terry (special friend Terri Mohr) of Rib Lake; a sister, Sherry (Mitchell) Smith of New Berlin; special friend, Shirley Olson of Rib Lake; 12 grandchildren, Chris and Dustin Wenrick, O'Ryan, Jake and Corey Kelch, Lindsey, Heather and Melanie McCluskey, Connor and Kaitlin McCluskey, and Samuel and Katrina McCluskey; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger in 1997.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
