Thursday, 18 Dec. 2008 ----Merhley, Lester Jr. (9 Oct. 1937 – 16 Dec. 2008) RIB LAKE -- Former Stetsonville resident Lester "Les" Merhley Jr., 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at Golden Living Center-Rib Lake. Cremainal inurnment will take place in the spring in Prairie Dell Cemetery, Watseka, Ill. Lester was born Oct. 9, 1937, at Watseka, a son of Mildred (Pullen) and Lester Merhley Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy. After returning from the service, he worked as a service repair technician in computers for IBM in the Chicago area for 12 years. He owned and operated Les Merhley's Copy Repair Service for numerous years until his retirement in 2004. He is survived by a daughter, Dawn Marie Merhley of Sycamore, Ill.; and two sisters, Barbara Merhley of Viola and Linda Merhley of Kankakee, Ill. Hemer Funeral Home of Medford is assisting the family with arrangements. |
