Surnames: Andersen, Anderson, Bucher, Norbut, Olson, Shannon, Zuschlag ----Source: The Star News (Medford, Taylor Co., WI), Thursday, November 27, 2008, Online Edition ----Norbut, Dolores “Dee” Margaret (Andersen) (June 29, 1931 - November 20, 2008) Dolores "Dee" Margaret Norbut, 77, Wheeling, Ill., died Thursday, Nov. 20 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher officiating. Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. Pallbearers were Everett Anderson, Willard Anderson, Jessica Anderson, Randy Shannon, Christopher Norbut and Sherrie Olson. Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements. The former Dolores Andersen was born June 29, 1931 in Arlington Heights, Ill., to the late Harry and Kathryn (Zuschlag) Andersen. She attended James G. Blaine Elementary School and Lakeview High School in Chicago, Ill. On January 15, 1955 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Chicago, she married Thomas Norbut, who preceded her in death in 1986. They lived in Chicago for three years before moving to Wheeling where they made their home for many years. She moved to Rib Lake in 1987 after her husband passed away. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, traveling - especially to Lake Superior - and spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Everett) Anderson of Rib Lake and Joan (special friend, Randy Shannon) Norbut of Medford; a brother, Richard (Carol) of Downers Grove, Ill.; two grandchildren, Christopher Norbut of Medford and Jessica Anderson of Rib Lake; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Martin. Contribution in her memory may be given to the American Cancer Society.
