Kurt Harold “Beezer” Jentzsch, 69, Medford, died Thursday, April 28 at Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

For the past six years he has resided at Our House Assisted Living and Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and is formerly of Marshfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 7 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford, with Rev. James Krueger officiating and full military honors conducted by the Klossner-Dietzler VFW Post #5729 with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Kurt Jentzsch was born September 2, 1941 in Medford, to the late Harold Otto and Hazel Bernice (Seefeldt) Jentzsch.

He attended Immanuel Lutheran School, Medford, graduated from Medford High School and completed one year of college at UW-Stevens Point. He served active duty in the Army National Guard from 1961-63 during the Berlin Crisis, stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash.

On June 3, 1967 in Lake Forest, Ill. he married Patricia Keller, who survives.

He was employed for over 30 years as a liquor salesman for Northwest and Badger Liquor. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, golfing, watching sports and spending family time at the cottage.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Samantha (Tim) Barents of Hudson; a son, Kyle (Lindsey) of Hudson; two brothers, Samuel (Linda) of Holmen and Jason (Nancy) of Milwaukee; a sister, Rachel Gould of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Jessica and Alex Barents and Chris Jentzsch. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Mary Barents; and a brother-in-law, Norbert Gould.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be designated at a later date.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
