Evangeline Griesbach, 88, Medford, died on Sunday, May 29 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.

No services will be held. Burial will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.


Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

October 21, 1922 at the Township of Medford

Molitor Elementary School, Township of Hammel

MARRIAGE INFORMATION:

1st – February 10, 1943 to Henry Hoffmann and they were later divorced
2nd – June 28, 1947 to Raymond F. Griesbach and they were divorced in 1968

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE:

Farmed in the Township of Hammel in her earlier years. She worked as a cook at various resorts and restaurants for periods of time. She owned and operated the Hilltop Variety Shop west of Medford for a period of time. She was clerk for the Township of Hammel for 9 years. She enjoyed gardening, fancy work, stained glass, painting, and playing guitar.

MEMBER OF:

Christian Science Church; Taylor Co. Historical Society where she was a past president and curator;

SURVIVING CHILDREN:

Son – Robert Griesbach of Medford
Daughter – Janet (August) Steffen of Mosinee

CHILDREN DECEASED:

2 grandchildren – Timothy & Jeffrey Steffen

NUMBER OF GRANDCHILDREN:

8 GREAT -GRANDCHILDREN: 16 GREAT – GREAT GRAND. 1

Brothers - Dale Krueger & Ernest Krueger Jr., Dick & Ted Krueger in infancy
