Leon J. Baumer, 84, Medford, died on Friday, June 17 at Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center in Medford. No services will be held.


Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH:

November 21, 1926 in the town of Deer Creek, Taylor County

EDUCATION:

Attended the Victory School

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE:

Leon worked on the home farm until entering the U.S. Army on March 16, 1945. He served in Japan and was discharged in August 1946. He then worked in the wheat fields of North Dakota for a short time and then for Nash Factory in Milwaukee. Leon then worked for Damm Brothers Sawmill for about 3 years. He then worked on the home farm until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and going for walks.

2 Brothers: Dennis of Medford and Conrad (Henrietta) of Manawa, WI


SURVIVING SISTERS:

3 Sisters: Silvia (Melvin) Blasel, Rosalie (Ray) Meyer and Valerie Baumer all of Medford
Also survived by Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends

DECEASED SISTERS:

3 Sisters: Marlene Baumer, Carmella Wocelka and Elizabeth Sackmann

DECEASED FATHER:

Leo Baumer

DECEASED MOTHER:

Margaret Ebert
