Florence E. Damm, 90, Abbotsford, died on Thursday, June 2 at Golden LivingCenter in Abbotsford.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stetsonville, with Rev. James H. Babler officiating. Burial will be at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Stetsonville.

Pallbearers are Craig and Brian McLees, Nick Brandner, Ludger Borger, Dan Shereda and Matt, Jon and Daniel Damm.


Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.


Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

November 14, 1920 at the Township of Franklin, Marathon County

EDUCATION:

Township of Franklin elementary schools and attended nurses aid training through Northcentral Technical College

MARRIAGE INFORMATION:

June 29, 1931 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville to Herbert L. Damm and he preceded her in death April 28, 1983

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE:

After her education she worked as a nurses’ aid at Memorial Health Center, Medford, for a period of years until her retirement. In retirement she worked as a volunteer for Hope Hospice. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville and its Ladies Aid and Mission Circle groups

SURVIVING CHILDREN:

Daughter – Cheryl (Herb) McLees of Cottage Grove, MN
Sons – Darrell (Gail) Damm of Stetsonville, Marlin (Alice) Damm of Cleveland, OK

CHILDREN DECEASED:

Son – Dennis Damm in 1940

NUMBER OF GRANDCHILDREN: 13

GREAT - GRANDCHILDREN: 24

SURVIVING SISTERS:

2 Sisters, Betty (Pat) Shereda of Medford and Marcia Rothamer of Gilbert, AZ

DECEASED BROTHERS:

Clarence & Ernest Marti

DECEASED SISTERS:

4 sisters, Marie Brunner, Anna Basum, Ida Rhyner and Evelyn Steevens

DECEASED FATHER:

Emil Marti
