Delmar "Del" P. Lehman, 77, Stetsonville, died on Tuesday, July 26 at his home, surrounded by his family and under hospice care.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Cremainal inurnment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Stetsonville. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford on Saturday from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m.

Delmar Lehman was born on November 28, 1933 in Marathon County to the late Arthur and Elsie (Kottke) Lehman. He was a 1951 graduate of Athens High School. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957, touring in France and Germany.

On September 5, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, he married Mary Ann T. Goessl, who survives. He worked at Hurd in Medford, then at PCA in Colby for 36 years until he retired in 1996.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Post No. 519 of Stetsonville, Paper Workers Union Local No. 803, Catholic Order of Foresters, Willow Acres, Willow Region Sportsman's Club, and High Hopes Hunting Lodge. He was an involved community member and served as a volunteer firefighter and constable for the Village of Stetsonville for many years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and cutting firewood.

In addition to his wife, survivors include six children, Susan Lehman and Amy Hader, both of Fort Worth, Texas, Brian (Ronette) and Kathy Lueck both of Medford, Pat (Diane) of Menomonie, and Paul (Molly) of Park Falls; a sister, Marian (George) Morgan of Valders; and 10 grandchildren, Erin, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Andrew, Chas, Jacob, Samuel, Zachary, Hallie and Nabil.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene; a sister, Delores Wernecki; a grandson, Elliott Lehman; and father-in-law, Clarence Goessl.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his name to Holy Rosary Church or Hope Hospice.
