Jim Immormino, age 64, of Jump River, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, after a short battle with cancer.

James Walter Immormino was born on January 1, 1947 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Charles and Mildred (Miller) Immormino. Jim was raised in Illinois and went on to become a railroad mechanic for EJ&E, WCL and CN railroads.


On June 18, 1965, he married Susan Upton in Joliet, Ill. The couple lived in Illinois until the early 1980s when they moved to the Jump River area and have lived there since.


He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed riding his Harley, used his mechanical knowledge often, and loved his family.


Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue, of Jump River; his mother, Mildred Immormino of Bridgman, Mich.; his five children, Jim (Cheri) of East Troy, Rich (Barb) of Jim Falls, Nina (Billy) Gray of Sandwich, Ill., Kevin (Shelly) of Rosholt and Dave (Jessica) of Gilman; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl (Laura) of Saunemin, Ill., and Frank (Gail) of Braidwood, Ill.; five sisters, Nancy (Sherrill) Riggs of Burnt Prairie, Ill., Dottie (Jim) Nordwall of Jacksonville, Ill., Charlene (John) Roberts of New Lenox, Ill., Cindy (Phil) Williamson of Bridgman, Mich., and Tina (Mike) Ahrens of Bourbonnais, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles, and brother, Chuck.


Memorial services were held on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Christ Community Church in Jump River, with Pastor Craig Lindgren officiating. Plombon Funeral Service of Gilman assisted the family with arrangements.
