Obit: Gelinskey, Gladys Julia (1935 - 2012) Contact: Robert Lipprandt E-mail: rloss@bellsouth.netSurnames: Gelinskey, Gerstberger Katzfey, Laumer Manchester, Osimitz, Princeton, Rezutek ----Source: The Star News (Medford, Taylor Co., Wisconsin) Thursday, January 5, 2012, online edition, Posted by blog at 1:12 PM---- Gelinskey, Gladys Julia (Rezutek) (September 18, 1935 - January 3, 2012) Gladys Julia (Rezutek) Gelinskey, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012 after another courageous battle with cancer. Mom dealt with adversity, like all things in her life, without complaining and with a positive attitude. She was born on September 18, 1935 to the late Peter and Mary (Labandz) Rezutek in Rib Lake.
She met and married Donald Gelinskey in Cudahy on October 26, 1957.
Mom loved to polka and she was not picky who her partners were, she would dance with anyone. Mom also had a green thumb. She loved working in her flower garden and could make anything grow and she was especially good at bringing back to life "almost dead" plants that her kids would bring home. Mom loved animals especially her three dogs, Barney, Tiki and Punkin' who have waited patiently for her to arrive in heaven so they can all go for another walk.
She is also survived by two sisters, Angeline Gerstberger and Helen Osimitz, and two brothers, Henry and Adam Rezutek, and her special nieces, Gladys Katzfey and Jean Gerstberger. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and the "church ladies." Preceding Mom in death were her brothers: Anton, Benedict, Bruno, Julius, Stephen, and Walter; sisters-in-law; Edna, Emmy, and Shirley and brothers-in-law; Otto Gerstberger and Don Osimitz. |
