Joseph F. Ogorzalek, 54, Lublin, died on Saturday, Dec. 24 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. at Thorp Funeral Home Chapel in Thorp. Burial will be at East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers are Russ Ogorzalek, Duane Nagel, Roger Ogorzalek, Brian Alex, Jacob Eichelt and Palmer Anderson.


Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.


Joseph Ogorzalek was born on February 5, 1957 in Marshfield to John V. and Ellen I. (Taylor) Ogorzalek. He was raised on the family farm, and attended Lublin Elementary School and was a 1976 graduate of Gilman High School.


On November 26, 1977 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin, he married Debra Nagel, who survives. He worked at the Cardinal Corporation in Stanley for many years, then at the IKE Corporation, and for the past 10 years at ADM in Stanley.


He enjoyed deer hunting, working on cars and raising beef cattle.


In addition to his wife, survivors include his father, John, of Lublin; five children, Lori (Palmer) Anderson of Withee, Craig, Lacey Delasky and Ryan, all of Lublin, and Angie (Keith Yeager) Ogorzalek of Owen; four siblings, Roger and David, both of Lublin, Jean Ogorzalek of Chicago, Ill., Russell (Mary) of Medford; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Ogorzalek, and a son, Jonathon, in infancy.
