Mrs. Roland Yaeger, 76, route 2, Marshfield, died of complications at 4:15 p.m. Fri. at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she had become a patient earlier in the day.

Services will be held at the Hansen Chapel here at 2 p.m. Mon. with burial in Brooklawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Walter Schultheiss, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, will officiate.

Friends may call at the Hansen Chapel beginning Sun.noon.

The former Mathilda DeMonk was born at Plymouth, Wis., Oct. 6, 1889 and received her education there. She was married in Plymouth on June 30, 1930 to Roland Yaeger who survives.

Roland H. Yaeger, 93, died at 4:40 a.m. today at the Marshfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where he had been a patient since March 1992.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Hansen Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Biederman of Faith Lutheran Church officiating. William Allen will be the soloist, and Maldon Plank will be the organist. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memory Gardens, town of Richfield.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

He was born July 29, 1899, in Stevens Point, to the late Matt and Alvina (Steffen) Yaeger. He attended Bakerville schools. He married Mathilda DeMonk June 30, 1930, in Plymouth, and she died Dec. 10, 1965.

He lived in the town of Rock after his marriage and drove milk truck. He later worked for Lang and Sherman in the foundry until his retirement in 1965. After the death of his wife, he worked on a part-time basis as a janitor for Peterson Brothers. From 1973-79, because of ill health, he lived with his brother, Walter, in Hatfield. He then moved to Marshfield and resided on Butternut Parkway.

Survivors include one brother, Walter, of Marshfield, and nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by three brothers.

Memorials may be designated to the family as they will establish a memorial at a later date.
