Koller, Anna (21 Apr. 1905 – 7 Jan. 1983)

MILLADORE – Mrs. Joseph S. (Anna) Koller, 77, Route 1, Milladore, died at 9:35 a.m. Fri. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she had been admitted Tues..

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Mon. at St. Killian’s Catholic Church, Blenker. St. Killian’s Choir will sing and Mrs. Judy Meyer will be organist. Burial will be in St. Killian’s Cemetery, Blenker. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

A concelebrated Mass will be said by the Rev. John (illegible), pastor, and Mrs. Koller’s brothers, the Rev. Franklin J. Grassl, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Wauzeka, and the Rev. Joseph A. Grassl, pastor of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stratford.

Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Sun. and until 11 a.m. Mon. at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield, and from noon until service time Mon. at the church. St. Killian’s Parish Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Sun. at the funeral chapel and St. Killian’s Parish Rosary will be at 12:45 p.m. Mon. at the church.

 

The former Anna Grassl was born April 21, 1905 in the Town of Milladore, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ignatz Grassl. She received her education at St. Killian’s Parochial School, Blenker.

 

She and Joseph S. Koller were married June 23, 1925 at St. Killian’s, Blenker. She and her husband farmed until retiring in 1965, when they moved to the village of Blenker. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1975.


She was a member of St. Killian's Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.


Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Genevieve) Lobner, Mrs. Arnold (Adeline) Adams, both of Route 1, Milladore, Mrs. Ann Harris of Marshfield, Mrs. Thomas (Eileen) Cherney of Route 1, Milladore, and Mrs. David (Mary Jane) Lane of Nanuet, N.Y.; two sons, Gary of Route 1, Milladore, and Robert J. of Wisconsin rapids; 32 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five brothers, the Rev. Francis J. Grassl of Wauzeka, the Rev. Joseph Grassl of Stratford, Ignatz Grassl of Milwaukee, Ludwig Grassl of Connell, Wash., Edward Grassl of Route 1, Milladore; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Tuttle of Indianapolis and Mrs. Anthony (Theresa) Pankratz of Route 1, Milladore.


She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
