Czappa, Wilfred (18 Nov. 1905 – 22 June 1991)

NEKOOSA – Wilfred Czappa, 85, Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of Nekoosa, brother of Benjamin Czappa of Colby, died Sat. at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.

Services were today at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home, Nekoosa, with the Rev. Robert Hegenbarth officiating. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Nekoosa.

He was born Nov. 18, 1905, in Wisconsin Rapids to John and Lena Czappa. He married Anna Johnson in 1952 in Nekoosa.

He was employed at the Nekoosa Foundry for many years.

Survivors also include six sons, Leland, William, Barney, Henry, Harold and Bobby, all of Wisconsin Rapids; three daughters, Dorothy Knoll of Texas, Susan Thurber of Wisconsin Rapids, and Patty Ludtke of Waupaca; one other brother, Dennis of Port Edwards; and 13 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and one brother.
