Seehafer, Violet Helen (31 Jan. 1926 – 20 Dec. 1998)

 

Violet Helen (nee Nagel) Seehafer, 72, of S2792 Bee Bee Road, Marshfield, died at 11:20 Sun. Dec. 20, 1998, at St. Joseph’s Hospital hospice home, House of the Dove.

 

Funeral services will be at services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wed. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gary Albert will officiate. Jolene Albert will be the organist with congregational singing.

 

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends and relatives of the family.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tues. at Hansen’s Funeral Chapel, and then at the church Wed. from noon until service time.

 

Violet was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Auburndale,the daughter of Alvin and Josephine (Orhmand) Nagel.  She received her education in the Auburndale school system. She was married to Norman J. Seehafer on May 22, 1947, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Auburndale.

 

She was employed by Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, Quick Cleaners, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and was engaged in farming with her husband.

 

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's Guild, was past president of the local branch of the AAL (Aid Association for Lutherans), and the Senior Citizens Choral Group.

 

She is survived by her children, Esther Seehafer Luchterhand of Janesville, Larry and Barb (Kelly) Seehafer of Marshfield, Vickie Seehafer of Marshfield, Cindy and Ralph Carbone of Marietta, Ohio, and Todd and Terri (Bradle) Seehafer of Marshfield; her grandchildren Natalie Luchterhand and Phillip Good of Burlington, Iowa, Karla Chrislaw of Clinton, Scott Seehafer and Angela (Freund) Seehafer of La Crosse, Gina Seehafer of Menomonie, Rachel Carbone and Rebecca Carbone of Marietta, Ohio and Melissa and Tyler Seehafer of Marshfield; and a great-grandchild, Kyle Chrislaw of Clinton.

 

She is further survived by her sisters, Eleanor (Vernon) Kruegar of Lomira, Lillian (Donald) Hobart of Lomira, Ruth (Lylus) Grube of Auburndale; a sister-in0law, Charlotte Nagel of MArshfield; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Anita (Seehafer) Weichelt of Marshfield, Milton Seehafer of Clintonville, Armon "Toby" and Florence (Coch) Seehafer of Marshfield, Irene (Gabelein) Seehafer of Stratford, Janet and DuWayne Tyler of Belvidere, Ill. and JoAnn and Rev. Gordon Kloehn of Spokane, Wash.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 14, 1993; a brother, Arnold A. Nagel; a sister-in-law, Eileen Seehafer; a brother-in-law, Gordon Seehafer, and by her parents.

 

 Memorials may be designated to the family in her name and they will establish a memorial at a later date.
