Minor Happenings. The Little Events that Transpire in Our Every Day Life.

All our merchants are busy inventorying.

The Vesper factory again starts up this week.

The city schools open for the spring term next Monday.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. ? Raymond on Saturday last.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Upham entertained at cards last Monday evening.

A case of scarlet fever was reported in the family of M. Griffin yesterday.

Some of the boys are talking of again organizing in door base ball teams.

The adjourned meeting of the Clark county board is in session at Neillsville this week.

There is a movement on foot to open social club rooms in the offices formerly occupied by the Heywood Ins. agency.

It is reported to us that there was a hold up on the Bakerville road between this city and the white school house one evening last week.

Geo. Seubert expressed himself as particularly happy last Saturday. He paid taxes on that day and found them $17 less than last year.

Willis Williams and Miss Maggie McInnis of Nasonville, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, by Judge Hirth, on Tuesday evening.

The small boy and his skates have been having a great time on the icy sidewalks. This is hardly the proper thing to allow. An accident is liable to happen at almost any time.

H. F. Theil, of Nasonville, was in the city Tuesday morning. He reported a case of scarlet fever in the family of Louis Rusted and that Mr. and Mrs. Edw. Eastman were ill.

A Leaf social was given by the Epworth League at Spencer last Thursday evening. Wonder what it’s like? We haven’t heard of Leaf socials since our swimming days and were the last one out.
