Forestal, Thomas E. (6 Jan. 1890 – 14 Sept. 1971)

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Fri. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church here for Thomas E. Forestal, 81, of El Cajon, Calif., who died at 12:20 p.m. Tues. in El Cajon.

 

The Rev. Peter J. Leketas, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in Gate of Heaven cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Rembs Chapel here from 3 p.m. Thur. until time of services. A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday.

 

Mr. Forestal was born Jan. 6, 1890, in Stevens Point, and received his education there. He went to Duluth, Minn., in 1910, and was married there Nov. 5, 1913, to Eva LaMere, a former Marshfield resident, who preceded him in death Nov. 5, 1965.


The couple resided there until 1964, when they moved to Lakeville, Minn., and in June, 1967, he moved to El Cajon, Calif., where he had since resided. He had been employed by the Northern Pacific Railroad for 48 years.


He was a member of the Union of Brotherhood Railroad Workers.


Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James C. (Elaine) Marek, El Cajon, Calif., and three grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by teo brothers and a sister.
