Arvada B. Bloch, 88, of Marshfield died Sat. March 20, 2010, at her home in the Town of Lincoln, Wood County.
Arvada was born Aug. 15, 1921, to Martin and Anna (Yoss) Whitrock in Vesper. She attended local schools and graduated from a beauty college in Eau Claire in 1938. She worked as a beautician until her marriage to Harold R. Bloch Aug. 14, 1943, in Marshfield. Harold died Sept. 6, 1996. She remained on the farm until her death. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and serving with the ladies aid at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield.
She is survived by two sons, a daughter, 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister.
She requested no services and to be interred in Waupaca.
Memorials may be given in Arvada’s name to Christ Lutheran Church, 1208 West 14th Street Marshfield, WI 54449.
Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), Marshfield, is assisting the family with arrangements.
