James R. Retterath, 69, of Marshfield died May 11, 2009, at his home, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Arrangements pending with Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

James R. "Jim" Retterath, 69, of Marshfield died Mon., May 11, 2009, at his home, surrounded by his family under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Fri., May 15, 2009, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) with the Rev. Don Meuret officiating.

Family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. Fri. until time of the services at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Jim was born April 20, 1940, in Wausau to Lawrence and Hildegard (Graettinger) Retterath. He attended St. John's Parochial School and Columbus High School in Marshfield.

He was married to Nancy E. Butler on April 22, 1961, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Jim lived in Marshfield the majority of his life. He was employed at Prince Corporation for 33 years, retiring from YMCA in 2005. He enjoyed going up north to the cottage with his loving companion Tasha.

Jim is survived by his wife Nancy; four children, Rod (Shi) Retterath of Brookfield, Renee (Rex) Hasserodt of Marshfield, Russ (Heidi) Retterath of Green Bay and Rory (Julee Hahn) Retterath of Marshfield. He is further survived by four grandchildren, Ross and Riley Hasserodt of Marshfield; Zachary and Madison Retterath of Green Bay. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Randy in infancy.

Dad, you're free now to travel that endless highway in the sky.... Keep on trucking!

The family would like to thank Ministry Home Care Hospice Services for their tender care and services, and a special thanks to Julee for her loving care and affection.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials may be given to either Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church or Ministry Home Care Hospice Services.
