(9 July 1929 - 15 Apr. 2009) MILLADORE -- Walter B. Krause, 79, of Milladore died Wed., April 15, 2009, in the town of Milladore. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tues. at Martens/Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), Junction City, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Mon. and again Tues. from 9:30 a.m. until service time. ************************** ----Source: Marshfield News Herald, Marshfield, Wood Co., WI, Sat. 18 Apr. 2009 MILLADORE -- Walter B. Krause, 79, Milladore, died Wed., April 15, 2009, in the town of Milladore. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tues., April 21, 2009, at Martens/Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), Junction City, with the Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 468 of Milladore and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Phillip Krause, Jacob Ambroziak, Tom Stargardt, Zebulon Krause, Forest Krause and Eric Schneider. The visitation will be held at Martens/Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mon., and Tues. from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Mr. Krause was born July 9, 1929, in the town of Milladore to Herman and Emma (Herman) Krause. He attended Stepping Stone School in Milladore. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He married Frances V. Laczkowski on May 5, 1953, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Chicago. She died March 10, 2004. Walter had been employed at Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield for 10 years and had farmed in the town of Milladore. He also was employed at the Wood County ASCS office for 15 years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 468, Milladore and the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by four children, Paul (Nancy) Krause of Milladore, Yvonne (Jerome) Schneider of Marshfield, Wanda (Robert) Ambroziak of Junction City and Peter (Julie) Krause of Auburndale. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Phillip, Christine, Connie, and Steven Krause, Tom Stargardt, Zebulon, Forest, and Mikailah Krause, Misty Steckler, Jacob Ambroziak and Eric Schneider. He is further survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leslie (Germaine) Krause of Milwaukee. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Zachary Ambroziak; and siblings, Harold Krause, Gladys Ruiter, Alfred "Kelly" Krause, Ervin Krause, Florence Henriksen and Robert Edward Krause in infancy. |
